Great column and you aren’t alone although my husband isn’t deployed but homeschooling three made me realize how much I need to work on patience.
I, too, resort to yelling. A great read is by Julie Barnhill called “She’s Gonna Blow”.

Yelling is a weakness of mine too, and when Brian was deployed it got worse. The not sleeping and no breaks didn’t help. Good for you for trying so hard to change that. But you’re already a great mom, give yourself credit.
